Titan's Look Lost

The Titans underwhelmed this past Saturday night in a 73-66 loss to Cal State Bakersfield. Team chemistry and defense were lacking, add to that too many turnovers and poor second half shooting, and it wasn't pretty. Surprised the boys could find the gym...... they couldn't find each other on the court.

Local Latin Soccer

Since 2004 when I graduated from P&S cameras and shooting my sons sports, to the original Digital Rebel and rental glass, I often test equipment on Sunday afternoons below my house at the Junior College. On most Sunday afternoons you will find soccer played there by mostly hispanic men. The league has varying levels of competition and skill levels. Ages range from 17 to 57. The thing I enjoy most about it is the childlike love the men have for the game. Very little trash talk or badgering of the Referee, just a lot of big smiles and sweat, playing in front of their families.

This past Sunday like many before I headed down to test a recently repaired camera body.

Titans Game #1

Cal State Fullerton drew a better than average Friday night crowd for their exhibition against D2 Cal State Los Angeles. I have to say I hate these pad your stats guaranteed win games. Would much prefer the Titan's go on the road and face a tougher opponent and make a little cash for the program. The administration claims no one wants to play us ? Not sure I'm buying that.

As is often the case, CSLA hung tight for a half but in the end the Titan reserves and a couple starters made it a 20 point win.

Lady Titan Soccer

Only in So Cal can you shoot soccer in shorts on October 30th. Great weather and good friends (Mike Foo and Matt Brown) made for a fun shoot. The Mellano sisters helped the Titans to dominate the Aggies of Davis 4-1.
